Intermission

Two performers sit within the ashes and burning embers of a ruined theatre, contemplating what happens next, why it never happened sooner, why nothing ever works out the way they planned, why its taken this long to realise they don’t need to be together and what is the best way to get charcoal out of their costumes.

Intermission is for all the dreamers who were made to grow up and get real jobs; for the boys with high-pitched voices who never got to be the leading man; for the girls with two left feet who were too tall to be ballet dancers.
