Manifesto

randomaccomplice is a theatre company dedicated to producing stimulating, new devised work and is passionate about the contribution the Company makes to the changing face of Scottish contemporary theatre.

We aim to:

• Present work on both a national and international level
• Raise the profile of new Scottish devised theatre
• Develop and encourage a new audience to devised work
• Create work which engages in contemporary form, methods and ideologies
• Develop and enrich both the work created and the company’s artistic profile through ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the work
• Acknowledge the value of genre and narrative, whether classical or contemporary, but to always move towards new openings, rupturing existing genre expectations
• Retain integrity of expression, above and beyond any commitment to form
